Tyler Johnston is a Canadian actor who portrays Stewart on Letterkenny.

Career[]

Born in British Columbia, Johnston began acting in high school, playing Ren McCormack in the school production of Footloose. His first television role was in 2004 with a small part in the Nicholodeon sitcom Romeo! Among his early television work are recurring roles as Markko on Zixx, Adrian on Godiva's, and Cal Ragg on Grand Star. He appeared as the young Don Cherry in the 2012 TV mini-series Wrath of Grapes: The Don Cherry Story II, in which Jared Keeso portrayed the older Cherry.

Johnston is also known for playing Danny Lubbe on the HBO series Less Than Kind and Alexi Giffords on The Killing, as well as Tommy Webber in the TV movie Story of a Girl. Outside Canada, he may be best known as Samandriel on Supernatural. More recently, he played Ted on Shut Eye.

He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category for Less Than Kind at 2013 and 2014 Canadian Screen Awards. In 2014, he was also nominated for the Best Lead Actor in a Television Film or Miniseries for playing Corey Boucher in the TV movie The Phantoms. In 2016, he was nominated by the Montreal International Wreath Film Festival Awards in the Best Actor category for playing Edward K. Wehling, Jr. in the short 2BR02B: To Be or Naught to Be.
