Mark Forward is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who plays the Coach on Letterkenny. He also performs his regular standup routine as part of the Letterkenny Live! touring show.

Career[]

Forward enjoyed performing from an early age, but hated taking theatre at Humber College. He discovered standup while bartending at The Laugh Resort in Toronto (The Globe and Mail)

He has since performed at various comedy festivals in Canada and the United States, and has made appearances on John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Funny as Hell (HBO), and Just For Laughs: All Access (The Comedy Network).

He hosts the Mark Forward Comedy Podcast. His Crave comedy special, Mark Forward Wins All the Awards, was released on March 31, 2019.

Other television work includes performances as the voice of Hugo on Cupcake & Dino: General Services, Donny Mashman on Fargo, and Wayne Leung on Mr. D. He has also been a writer for Mr. D and The Jon Dore Television Show, and writer and consulting producer for What Would Sal Do?

Personal Background[]

Forward was raised in Oakville, Ontario. A married father, he lives in Toronto with his family (The Toronto Star).
