Jared Keeso (/ˈkiːsoʊ/ KEE-soh; born July 1, 1984) is a Canadian actor, best known for portraying Wayne in Letterkenny. He is also the creator, writer, and producer of the show.

Biography[edit | edit source]

He is best known for playing Ben Chartier in the police procedural drama 19-2, an English adaptation of the 2011 French series of the same name, which aired on Bravo and CTV for four seasons.

Keeso was born in Listowel, Ontario, where his family operated a sawmill. He began acting in 2004, appearing in the made-for-TV movie Eve's Christmas and as Nate Pratt in the teen drama Smallville. In 2006 and 2007 he played Luke in the YTV series Monster Warriors, and played the recurring character of Rob Chambers in The Guard in 2008 and 2009. He played hockey player, and coach, Don Cherry in two TV mini-series Keep Your Head Up Kid: The Don Cherry Story (2010), and The Wrath of Grapes: The Don Cherry Story II (2012).

In 2012 he, alongside Mike Borden, launched Play Fun Games Pictures which produced the short series Letterkenny Problems. After becoming a sensation, he and Jacob Tierney (plays Glen) developed the series into the sitcom Letterkenny.
