Jean-Jacques François Jacques Jean, usually shortened to JJ Frankie JJ, is a recurring character on Letterkenny and a main character on Shoresy, portrayed by Max Bouffard.
Biography[]
Letterkenny[]
JJ Frankie JJ is introduced as a former NHL player and the star of the Three Rivers Lakers. As TSN describes him, he "needs virtually zero help to score goals," having scored 14 in the National Senior Hockey Championship, 11 unassisted—though perhaps on account of this, he is said to lack "work ethic" (National Senior Hockey Championship). RDS, TSN's French-language sister network, called him as the best player on the ice (National Senior Hockey Championship).
The Lakers face the Kerry County Eagles in the final, and although Eagles star Shoresy chirps him relentlessly about his weight, JJ Frankie JJ proves to be a far more skilled player; they score five unanswered goals against the Eagles in the first period alone. Sensing that the Quebec team is nothing without him, Shoresy coldly slashes him, forcing both out of the game (and sparking a massive donnybrook). Shoresy's assessment was correct, however; without their star player, the Lakers crumble, whereas the more balanced Eagles are able to mount a striking third period comeback to win the cup (National Senior Hockey Championship).
JJ Frankie JJ makes an appearance in Letterkenny not long thereafter, however. Emma, the rep from the tournament's sponsor, BROdude Energy Drink, discovered irregularities in the Eagles' roster, and vacated their championship pending further investigation, awarding the cup to a triumphant JJ Frankie JJ at MoDean's (NDN NRG).
This is not enough, however; JJ Frankie JJ seeks revenge on Shoresy for the attack at the championship game. He arrives at the arena where he knows Shoresy practices and threatens him in the parking lot, then returns with four other lumberjacks intending to beat him down. Shoresy manages to slash JJ Frankie JJ again, however, and with the assistance of Wayne, Axe, and Slash, fends off the others and escapes (VidVok).
Shoresy[]
Ironically, JJ Frankie JJ finds himself playing alongside his former enemy, when both join the Sudbury Bulldogs, a AAA team based in Sudbury, Ontario.
